To this end, a press conference will be held, which will be attended by African first ladies, as well as other international entities.

One of the first ladies who will be present at the launch ceremony in Luanda is Isaura Nyusi, First Lady of the Republic of Mozambique, who is already in Angola.

In a post on her Facebook page, to which VerAngola had access, the First Lady of Mozambique informs that she arrived in Angola this Thursday, where she will join Ana Dias Lourenço to launch the campaign.

"I arrived in Angola yesterday to join my sister, First Lady Ana Dias Lourenço, in the launch of the 'Somos Todos Iguais - WeAreEqual' campaign, a significant initiative that aims to address and combat gender disparity in various sectors, under the motto: Education for Gender Equality and the Fight Against Violence Against Children and Adolescents", the post reads.

The conference, according to Angop, will also include the presence of national and international experts on gender equality, empowerment and protection of children's rights, fostering a constructive and cooperative conversation.

The campaign, in line with the fifth sustainable development goal, which refers to gender equality, has envisaged, among other aspects, "ending all forms of discrimination against women and girls everywhere".

The aforementioned campaign emerges as a strong solidarity movement aimed at promoting gender equality and equity, encouraging first ladies to get involved in one of the four pillars, namely health, education, economic empowerment and gender-based violence. In addition, the first ladies of Africa also hope that other entities, such as politicians, magistrates, organizations, etc., will join this initiative, also encouraging civil society organizations to apply these values in their communities.

In this case, Ana Dias Lourenço decided to support the pillar 'Gender-Based Violence', under the motto "Education for Gender Equality and the Fight Against Violence Against Children and Adolescents", with the aim of reducing the differences between men and women and also highlighting the urgent need to eliminate all forms of violence against young people and children, writes Angop.

In this way, the initiative reiterates the First Lady's commitment to promoting gender equality, education as a means of empowering young people and women, as well as safeguarding the rights of young people and women.

Therefore, everyone is invited to join this cause, as she believes that together they can "build a future in which everyone is, in fact, treated as equals, reflecting the fundamental values of dignity and respect because we are all and have always been, truly, equal".

It should be remembered that in May of this year, Ana Dias Lourenço was in Nigeria, where she was present at the launch of this same campaign in that country, promoted by the First Lady of Nigeria.
