"375 exhibitors, both domestic and foreign, is the record number of participations planned for Expo-Huíla/UNITEL2023, which starts today [Wednesday], in the expanded and renovated pavilion, at the Tourist and Sports Complex of Nossa Senhora do Monte, in the city of Lubango, promoted by the Agricultural, Commercial and Industrial Association of Huíla (AAPCIL)", informs the provincial government, in a statement to which VerAngola had access.
With regard to participations, the government of Huíla refers that the international bench is led by Brazil. However, countries like Portugal, Italy, China, Namibia and South Africa are also present at the fair.
"Brazil, with 25 companies, leads the international participation, with Portugal, Italy, China, Namibia and South Africa also going to participate in the event", reads the statement.
Speaking to the press – quoted by Angop –, within the scope of the opening of Expo-Huíla 2023, Nuno Mahapi, governor of Huíla province, expressed the intention of the local government to advance with investment to improve the event's exhibition space.
The governor stressed that year after year the event is held, the organization and businessmen become more "mature" in the field, thus making it necessary to change the scenario with regard to the space to welcome participants and receive visitors. Cited by Angop, the official did not go into details about the investment to be made, having indicated that the government has "solid" projects in the sense of making the event one of the best showcases to exhibit what is produced in Huíla.
This, the 30th edition of the event, will run until next Sunday (August 20th), under the motto 'Pensar Angola', as part of the program of the Festivities of Nossa Senhora do Monte.
