Parliamentary television and radio broadcast scheduled to start in October

It is foreseen, for this year, the opening of the broadcast of the Television and Radio Parliament channel, with October being the month indicated for the launching of the channels.

:

"We are working so that the Parliament channel, the Radio and the internal organ can start in the next Legislative Year so that all parliamentary activities are publicized", said Carolina Cerqueira, president of the National Assembly, quoted in a communiqué from the parliament, to which the VerAngola had access.

Speaking following a working visit to the Communication and Image Office, the official clarified that the National Assembly has an "intense agenda" at the level of committees, parliamentary groups, and that they do not feel "that the voting public, as well as well as the population, in general, are following the depth of the issues addressed here".

Thus, adds the note, "the forecast for the launch of the Parliament's TV and Radio channels is for the end of October, when the 147th General Assembly of the Interparliamentary Union (UIP) is held".

"Portraiting the day-to-day of parliamentary life, bringing representatives of the people closer to the citizen, in order to contribute to a better understanding of the role and action of Parliament, is one of the main objectives of the said sovereign body", reads still in the note.
