CAR deputy says that one should “look at the dimension of the struggle of the Angolan people” to reach reconciliation

Bernard Dillah, second vice-president of the National Assembly of the Central African Republic (CAR) considered Angola an “example” of reconciliation, considering that what African peoples can do “is look at the dimension of the struggle of the Angolan people in order to reach to definitive reconciliation and peace for all”.

"Our country, as well as other Africans, have been fighting for the liberation of their peoples and what we and other peoples can do is look at the dimension of the struggle of the Angolan people in order to reach definitive reconciliation and peace for all", said Bernard Dillah, after visiting the António Agostinho Neto Memorial and the National Military History and Currency museums.

Cited by Jornal de Angola, the official – who is on a working visit to Angola – said that the memorial shows the presence of a man who fought for the liberation of the population.

At the time, he said he had retained that Agostinho Neto "was a man who served his country". "What I was able to retain is that Agostinho Neto was a man who served his country. Regarding his visit to Angola, among other aspects, the RCA deputy said that they had "the opportunity to see that, through parliamentary diplomacy, there can be help, exchanges and strengthening of relations between peoples".

According to Jornal de Angola, the CAR delegation, which includes the second vice-president of the CAR parliament, has been in the country since last Sunday (August 6) on a visit that is expected to end next Sunday (August 13).
