"If we manage to build 45 schools with 12 classrooms every year in Huíla province, Your Excellency President of the Republic, in that five-year period we would be able to mitigate or solve over 80 percent of our great challenge", said the provincial governor.

The governor considered school lunches important, as they reduce student abstention, but explained that the current budget does not allow its implementation in all schools.

Technical-professional education was also highlighted as a potential solution to educational challenges, provided that the need to build technical schools in all municipalities in the province is met.

In the health sector, he highlighted the need to strengthen primary care, in order to reduce the pressure on reference hospitals, as well as the need to promote preventive health and the creation of a staff training and acquisition program. of ambulances.

"We would also like to ask for your help to acquire a large batch of ambulances, to solve the problems of the 14 municipalities. The reference hospitals in Lubango are satisfied, they have ambulances, but our biggest problem is in the municipalities", he reinforced.

Nuno Mahapi also emphasized the importance of water, family agriculture and transport for the development of the province, and investments in infrastructure, such as the railway, airport and roads to promote connectivity and mobility.

The energy sector was also identified as vital for the province's self-sufficiency and increased export capacity to other regions.

The governor indicated progress in the construction of energy infrastructure, which will allow interconnection between municipalities. Nuno Mahapi called for continued efforts to overcome the energy challenges and allow for industrial and social growth in the province.

The private sector was considered crucial to boost development and create jobs for youth, with public-private collaboration to invest in tourism and sports infrastructure, taking advantage of the region's potential in this field.

"Huíla, the real oil it has, is called tourism. And we cannot lose sight of this tourist potential. First, we must invest in the people who will work in tourism and then build the infrastructure so that tourists can these sights more easily and find the services", he declared.

In the end, the governor announced that the province would host a match of the Angolan football team, on the 7th of September.

"Thanks to the effort that Your Excellency made in the rehabilitation of the field, Palancas Negras will play here, to qualify for the CAN. We would like to invite Your Excellency to come and watch the game with us", he concluded.
