TAAG announces reinforcement of its fleet with six Airbus A220s

The air carrier TAGG announced this Wednesday, in a statement, its intention to reinforce its fleet in the second half of 2023 with six new Airbus A220 aircraft (under a 'leasing' regime) "in a long-term perspective".

"To respond to market demand" additional negotiations are underway with suppliers, including Boeing, adds TAAG.

The fleet reinforcement plan "is based on the recovery of aircraft, acquisition of new aircraft under 'leasing' (short and long term) as well as a strong training of the existing human capital", emphasizes the company.

TAAG currently has Boeing 777 and Boeing 737 aircraft "in an intensive maintenance process, which, once recovered, will reintegrate the fleet".

"Additionally, and as a temporary replacement for aircraft that are undergoing maintenance, TAAG also has aircraft leased under a 'wet lease' regime", he details.
