Fresmart arrives in Lubango. New store provided 40 jobs

It was this Friday that the Newaco Group opened another Fresmart supermarket in the country, this time outside the capital, namely in Lubango (Huíla). This store, number 27, had an investment of around 175 million kwanzas and created 40 new jobs.

According to a statement sent to VerAngola, the most recent supermarket is located in Lubango, referring to the first of the chain in the province of Huíla.

The opening ceremony was attended by some official entities from that province, as well as members of the Newaco Group's management, including Fresmart's Marketing Manager, Ivo Ferreira, who was responsible for cutting the ribbon.

The new supermarket had an investment of around 175 million kwanzas and "provided 40 direct jobs in Lubango".

Occupying a total area of ​​around 500 square meters, Fresmart in Lubango will have its doors open from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm.

Cited in the statement, Hélder Inácio, Fresmart's operations director, explained that the opening of this store is part of the group's expansion plan.

"Lubango is the second store outside the province of Luanda, and is part of the Newaco Group's expansion plan, which guarantees to have even more novelties this year and in 2023. We will continue to expand, in order to have stores necessary to provide to our customer a quality service and guarantee of a permanent assortment in our store. Naturally, this decision will be based on the response we get from the customers who visit us", said the responsible.

According to the official, part of the supermarket's products "are extracted on farms in the province", but the objective is that "there is a gradual increase in order to boost the development of local production".

The note also notes that the group "has been working with local producers, who are responsible for supplying fresh products such as fruits and vegetables, butchery and fish, with plans to establish more partnerships at the provincial level, contributing to thus, for the evolution of the regional economy".
