The company, in a statement sent to VerAngola, states that the extension of the 4G signal to the aforementioned locations was carried out after, between January and June, it had been carried out in 16 locations in the country: Buco-Zau, Dinge, Cacongo and Massabi (Cabinda); Waku Kungo, Libolo and Amboim-Gabela (Kuanza Sul); Muxinda (Lunda Norte); Cahama (Cunene); Alto Hama, Chipipa, Cachiungo and Calenga (Huambo); Tombwa (Namibe); Songo (Uige) and Cambambe (Cuanza Norte).
Unitel also explains that the services of 3G, 4G and 5G technologies are available in 353 locations in the country, "allowing the transmission of voice and data (browsing websites, downloads and use of online applications more quickly)".
4G already covers the capitals of the country's 18 provinces, with a deployment of 36 percent in municipalities and 16 percent in communes.
With more than 14 thousand kilometers of optical fiber, Unitel says that "it has been a true engine of technological development by providing a network capable of supporting the transmission of voice and data calls with quality, reliability and transmission speed", factors that classifies as indispensable for the success of the service provided.
