Handball: Angola decides to pass the CAN final this Friday against Egypt

The national junior men's handball team will return to the field in hopes of winning a place in the final of the African Cup of Nations (CAN) of the modality. The passage to the next phase will be decided this Friday, in a game in which Angola will face the Egyptian counterpart.

:

The semi-final will be played at 6 pm (in Angola), in Kigali, Rwanda. According to Jornal de Angola, Egypt is the favorite to win, taking into account its history of participation, the number of titles achieved in the competition, among others, against the national team that never reached a place in the final.

It should be noted that the national team's objectives for the competition were to improve the previous classification and a place for the World Cup, these targets having already been achieved.

Thus, the interest of the national team is in "making history" and despite admitting the superiority of the Egyptians, the team intends to play an impeccable game betting on organized defense and attack, writes Jornal de Angola.

Egypt sealed the passage to the semi-finals this Thursday, after beating Morocco by 31-18.

As for the other semi-final, the match will take place between Algeria and Tunisia.
