Petro de Luanda and Sagrada Esperança compete in the second leg of the Supercup 10 months later

Petro de Luanda, coached by Portuguese coach Alexandre Santos, and Sagrada Esperança will play the second leg of the Angola Super Cup 10 months later, the Angolan Football Federation (FAF) announced.

:

The game is scheduled for the 17th of August, in the province of Benguela.

The decision follows the protest presented by Petro de Luanda, after a 3-4 defeat, in the penalty shootout, against Sagrada Esperança, who won the trophy, on September 27, 2021.

The FAF had defined that the trophy would be played in a single game, but, days after the match, the national champions recalled that the federative regulation determines that the Super Cup must be played in two legs and challenged the approval of the result.

After the presentation of the Petro de Luanda protest, in 2021, Sagrada Esperança threatened not to play the second leg game and return the trophy, in case the governing body of football decided against it.
