The head of state "addressed a message to the family of the nationalist Luís Neto Kiambata, expressing his feeling of regret at his death last Saturday", says a note from the Presidency, to which VerAngola had access.
According to the note, João Lourenço praised "the essential contribution" of an "illustrious son of Angola".
He also referred that his "intrepid actions will forever mark our history of national liberation" and make up "an important legacy for the collective memory of all Angolans".
"Luís Neto Kiambata is remembered by President João Lourenço as a staff member who assumed, throughout a life dedicated to the country, positions of great importance that he fulfilled with selflessness and zeal", completes the statement.
