On the occasion, the MPLA candidate said that there was a line of financing of more than 400 million euros destined for the requalification, in the next five years, of the integrated infrastructures of the four cities: "For this reason, we found a line of financing of 479 million euros that is already available to the provincial government to intervene in the integrated infrastructure of these four cities".
In his speech, João Lourenço explained that the amount will also be used to pave the streets of Cubal, Ganda and Balombo as well as rehabilitate the Praia Morena waterfront (Benguela), among other projects, writes Angop.
Among the promises made by the candidate is also the construction of a ring road outside the cities of Benguela, Catumbela and Lobito: "All the trucks bound for Huambo, Bié, Huíla and Cunene, which pass through here, will not continue to spoil the streets interiors of these three cities. It will go through the ring road, which we are committed to building", he said, quoted by Angop.
He also promised to build new facilities for Katyavala Buila University and the Higher Institute of Educational Sciences (ISCED).
He also spoke about the future Lobito Refinery, considering that when the project is ready it should guarantee around 15 thousand jobs. Furthermore, the conclusion of the contract will enable the country to achieve self-sufficiency in terms of oil refining as well as put a brake on imports of diesel, gasoline, among other products.
Remember that Angolans will go to the polls next week, on 24 August, to choose a new President, Vice-President and representatives in the National Assembly.
