The 2022 edition of Fenacult is therefore renamed 'National Festival of Special Culture Centenary', with several initiatives from the re-edition of the books "Sagrada Esperança" and "Renúncia Impossível" to the holding of a literary contest called "100 Years by António Agostinho Neto".

According to the event programme, which Angop had access to, a visit to the village of Caxinde, where Agostinho Neto was born, is also scheduled. There will also be a conference on the political view on the training of Angolan staff and the role of the Agostinho Neto University in the training of senior staff.

The program also includes an academic excellence contest, an academic journey on the multiple dimensions of the figure of the doctor and writer, a friendly football match and an ecumenical cult.

Decorations in honor of the centenary of Agostinho Neto, on his birthday, are also planned.

Remember that the first President of Angola was born on September 17, 1922, in Ícolo e Bengo, and died on September 10, 1979 in Moscow, Russia. As the first President, he proclaimed Angola's independence on November 11, 1975.

In addition to his role in politics, he is also a prominent figure in national culture, writing several literary works, translated into several languages.
