BNA establishes new rules for the allocation of credit cards

The National Bank of Angola (BNA) created new rules for the allocation of credit cards, in order to promote the use of payment cards to the detriment of the use of cash.

The BNA also stipulates that, regardless of the requirement to set up collateral to cover payment risk, banks must set limits in accordance with the financial capacity of the customer and the origin of the funds for setting up the collateral.

The bank must also ensure compliance with the annual limit established for foreign exchange operations by individuals and, in cases where a collateral deposit is constituted to cover the payment risk, the value of this cannot exceed the value of the limit assigned. .
