According to figures provided by Mário Caetano João, Secretary of State for the Economy, of a total of 807 projects approved, 387 are related to the agriculture sector, which represents 48 percent of Prodesi funding.
The official, cited by Jornal de Angola, also said that the second place of the list of sectors with more approved projects was occupied by Commerce and Distribution with 205 projects, followed by the Manufacturing Industry sector with 115 projects.
The remaining projects are divided into the Livestock, Aquaculture, Sea Fishing, and Continental Fishing sectors.
The Secretary of State for Economy also made known that the total of approved projects, in the last two years, add up to a value of about 729 billion kwanzas, and it is expected that these will help to create more than 60 thousand jobs.
