Tokyo2020: Angolan Handball Federation talks about failure due to poor preparation

The vice-president of the Angolan Handball Federation Nair Almeida considered this Monday, in Luanda, that the failure of the angolan women's national team in the Tokyo2020 Olympic Games was due to the few games played during training camp, in Japan.

The responsible considers this the reason for not improving the eighth place achieved in Rio2016.

Nair Almeida, who was speaking at the arrival of part of the angolan delegation in Luanda after being in Tokyo, said that the selection is now focused on the World Championship, to be held in December, in Spain.

The goal is to improve the seventh place, reached in 2007, in France, the best rating ever of the angolan selection.

Also during this Monday afternoon, the sailing team returned to the country, with the selector Manuel Lelo pointing out the low investment in the Angolan double's boat as the cause of failure, noting that, unlike Angola, other countries have made major investments, which included the acquisition of new vessels, advising the Angolan Olympic Committee to follow suit.
