According to the spokesman of the Luanda Provincial Command of the National Police, Nestor Goubel, the accident occurred, Thursday, in the neighborhood Kifica, urban district of Benfica.
The security guard has already been arrested and is being heard by the Public Ministry.
"He is a security guard admitted in the company and it was his first day of employment, I do not know if there was inexperience, but everything indicates that it was an accident," said the police spokesman in Luanda.
Nestor Goubel pointed out that the police are currently on site to gather more information, stressing the initial explanation was that "after surrendering his colleague, he started working and at some point he understood that he should inspect the gun that, by bad luck, went off".
