Inclusion of citizens is the goal of the political-administrative division

The minister of State and head of the Civil House of the President of the Republic, Adão de Almeida, assured this Tuesday that the alteration of the political-administrative division of Angola aims at the inclusion of Angolans in the governmental action.

The official considered that this division should have been done some time ago, in order to provide better living conditions for citizens.

"Definitively, we have to manage our territory, to be able to correct the regional asymmetries, and in this case were privileged the eastern provinces and the largest in the country," explained Adão de Almeida, during the opening ceremony of public consultation to the change of political-administrative division, which took place in Cuando Cubango.

Cited by Angop, the minister said he hoped that the division will bring a greater inclusion of Angolans in the governmental action.

He mentioned that the first step of the commission is to talk, stating that all citizens should have an active role in the issues of national interest.

Adão de Almeida took the opportunity to recall that the President of the Republic created the commission with the objective of providing conditions that make it possible for the territories that are to be divided to function as provinces.

Installing the judicial power, infrastructures, among other services, are some of the functions of the commission.

The change in the political and administrative division includes the provinces of Cuando Cubango, Moxico, Lunda Norte, Malanje and Uige.
