"With deep regret I received in Accra [Ghana's capital] the tragic news of the death of João Macedo, distinguished member of the Economic and Social Council and prominent investor in the agricultural sector in Angola", wrote the Head of State, in a note sent to the agency Portuguese.
For João Lourenço, João Macedo's investments are in line with the national economic diversification strategy, defined by the Executive.

Expressing his "most heartfelt condolences" to his family and friends, João Lourenço adds that advisor and producer João Macedo is leaving "at the height of his commitment to the cause of Angola".
