According to Franco Mufinda, secretary of state for Public Health, among the new cases, 108 of which are male and 55 female, aged between 6 months and 86 years, 97 were diagnosed in Luanda, 20 in Huambo, 10 in Bié, 10 in Zaire, five in Lunda Sul, five in Cuando Cubango, four in Cabinda, four in Cunene, three in Benguela, three in Moxico and two in Malanje.
In the usual conference on the update of the data, the official said that nine deaths had been reported, seven male deaths and two female deaths, with Huambo, Malanje and Luanda registering two deaths each and Bié, Cuando Cubango and Lunda Sul registering one each.
The authorities also made it known that 65 patients were recovered.
Angola totals 47,331 confirmed cases of covid-19, of which 2799 are active, 1210 have died and 43,322 have been recovered.
