In a statement made public Tuesday, the BNA announced the revocation of licenses of Cristalpay - Sociedade de Remessas de Valores Lda, Goo Transfer - Sociedade de Remessas Lda, Eurodólar - Casa de Câmbios Lda, Dakota - Casa de Câmbios Lda and Celecâmbios - Casa de Câmbios Lda.

The central bank points to the "repeated failure to comply with the rules" governing the activity of non-banking financial institutions and the "inactivity for a period exceeding six months" as the reasons for revoking the licenses of these institutions.

The BNA said in the same note that it recognises the expiry of the licenses of three other non-banking financial institutions, namely Lezinho - Sociedade de Microcrédito Lda, Credilease - Sociedade de Locação Financeira S.A and Syridian - Sociedade Prestadora de Serviços de Pagamentos Lda "for not having started their activities within the legally established period".

These non-banking financial institutions, the BNA said, "are liquidated" in accordance with the judicial procedures generally applicable to commercial companies "by virtue of the provisions of paragraph 3 of Article 320 of the General Law on Financial Institutions.
