Bartolomeu António, head of Tecno Base - a company that develops management, communication and security software - said the Tecno Farma application is available for Android and iOS systems and explained that it allows patients to have access to medicines and medical help without having to leave home.
According to him, patients no longer have to travel distances to get help: the application allows users to identify the right place to find medicines. According to Angop, patients can also get in touch with doctors and ask questions.
The use of this application will not have any cost for the ordinary citizen. However, because it is commercial software, companies will be charged for license fees.
The idea for this application was born in 2012, however, it only went live in 2016.
The company has also created another software: the Integrated Population Management System (SIGP), which aims to help the government control the country's demography.
"We want the application to help the government to govern, because technology is a fundamental factor for the development of any nation and is indispensable when one wants to grow. It will develop according to the field needs of government and society," he said.
He added that these applications were created because there is a need to implement technological tools that society needs to safeguard communication and security.
