President keeps promise: musician Sebem gets home in Zango 5

João Lourenço promised in a visit to the musician Sebem in 2017 that he would provide him with a house. Three years later, the promise was fulfilled: the musician received last Saturday, the 15th, a T3 villa at Centralidade do Zango 5.

The handover of the house was carried out by the vice-president of MPLA, Luísa Damião, who stressed the concern of João Lourenço in responding to the main problems of the angolans.

After the ribbon was cut, the party leader said the handover was based on the principle of solidarity and humanism, on behalf of João Lourenço.

Cited by Angop, Luísa Damião highlighted that Sebem, as well as other musicians, were always present and were always willing to raise Angola's name, even in the most difficult moments.

Sebem innovated the kuduro style and deserves everyone's support, she said, adding that with this gesture the Government wants to be part of society.

She also made it known that the same help will be given to the musician Mirol.

Sebem was moved by the gesture and thanked. The mother of the musician, Beatriz Soares, took the opportunity to thank the support given to her son, who despite his fame never had his own home.

The musician has not stepped on the stage since 2013. Sebem suffers from a neurological illness, but has been recovering reasonably.
