The Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, underlined, in the epidemiological situation assessment, that the country is in an increasing phase of the covid-19 pandemic.

The Secretary of State for Public Health explained that when you look at last month, there are "about 10 times more" cases registered than in July and eight times more than in June, calling for "preventive measures" to be observed in view of the growing situation.

According to Franco Mufinda, it is in the 30 to 39 age group that one third of all cases of the disease are found, 62 percent being male.

"When we go to a deep analysis, we observe that the female sex predominates only in the age group from 0 to 9 years old, so that upwards there is a great predominance of the male sex, a reality that ends up bringing the picture of what is happening globally, looking at the distribution of the sex of this disease," he said.

About the situation in the last 24 hours, of the total of new infections one has been registered in the province of Cabinda and the rest in Luanda, being 60 male and 23 female, with ages ranging from 4 to 83 years.
