In a message addressed to citizens, the governor warned of unsafe behavior that could change the epidemiological profile of covid-19 in Benguela and put the province in a situation of public calamity.
Also playing the role of coordinator of the Provincial Public Health Commission, he appealed to citizens to assume their responsibilities, so as not to endanger their lives and the lives of others.
"There is nothing to justify the disrespect for our life. Nobody will be able to hold the responsibility for their actions to third parties", he warns, quoted by O País.
Benguela has five active cases of covid-19, a situation that the governor considers worrying, especially with the disregard for the biosafety measures that are being witnessed in the province.
"This virus does not distinguish anyone and kills indiscriminately," he warned. He recalled that the confirmed cases in the province are all asymptomatic, being "in most cases, the direct causes of the proliferation of the disease in the environment in which they live".
