The contest, launched by the National Agency of Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (ANPG), will run until September 30.
According to the announcement, published this Monday in the Jornal de Angola, the contest is open to foreign companies and, to participate, the payment of a provisional security is not required.
The chosen bid will be the most advantageous in economic terms and the winning entity will have six months to execute the contract.
The requirements of the tender process will be sent by e-mail, depending on the payment of 250 thousand kwanzas to the Single Treasury Account, explains the announcement.
This measure aims to end the weakening of the oil fields in production in the country, due to the lack of investment that the sector has been facing in the last eight years.
The country currently produces an average of one million 249,000 barrels per day and is considered the second largest oil producer in sub-Saharan Africa - first is Nigeria with an average production of 1.7 million barrels per day.
