A press release distributed on Friday, which does not disclose debtors, states that the two companies have noted with growing concern that financial commitments are not met within acceptable deadlines.

Sonangol's subsidiaries stress that "they are concerned about the defaulting behavior of these clients, because they have notified them, without any conciliatory reactions".

"Sonangol Distribuidora and SonaGás are business entities with huge responsibilities, inside and outside the country, and for the full fulfillment of their obligations they need to rigorously obey the processes inherent to the various bonds they establish," the statement stresses.

According to the companies, the repeated lack of payment by the primary beneficiaries of their products and services affects, above all, the ability of these two Sonangol subsidiaries to honor their commitments to their suppliers and providers of goods and services, in addition to contributing to the continued destruction of their value.

To this end, they appealed to "the common sense of all entities with outstanding debts, to urgently establish contact with them in order to make the payments due in arrears.

"The failure of these clients to settle their debts within 30 days from the date of this publication will compel them to activate the legal mechanisms relating to the clause of non-compliance with the obligations contained in the contracts signed, as well as others provided for by law," the note stresses.
