The matter deserved this Wednesday's analysis and approval at the 8th ordinary session of the Council of Ministers, chaired by the Head of State, João Lourenço, under the Legal Framework for Local Content in the Angolan Petroleum Sector.

This legal instrument aims to regulate matters relating to the transfer of technology and knowledge, the recruitment and training of Angolan human capital, and the acquisition of goods and services produced locally by companies operating in the oil sector, as tools to promote Angolan business and economic development.

Among other expected results, the diploma will materialize the forecast of the creation of a local reserve of inputs for the promotion of self-sufficiency of resources used in oil exploration activity and protection of local development.

Promoting greater participation of Angolan companies in the oil activity and increasing the country's revenue, considering the degree of employability of national companies providing services resulting from contracts signed with operating companies and large foreign service providers, are other goals to be achieved with this diploma.

The preparation of this diploma counted with the participation of the Association of Petroleum Exploration and Production Companies in Angola, the Association of Contractors of the Angolan Petroleum Industry, the Association of Angolan Autochthonous Petroleum Exploration Companies, the National Petroleum and Gas Agency, and the ministries of Public Administration, Labor and Social Security and Finance.
