In a statement, quoted by Angop, the SIC reveals that the "arrest took place in the informal Kwanzas market" and that after being arrested, the suspect confessed to being the leader of the scheme.
"The police forces had already been on his trail for a few days and with no chance of escape he was surprised and arrested," the note states, adding that the arrestee will be presented to the Public Prosecutor's Office for procedural proceedings.
The document also states that last Thursday 13th, two other members of the group were arrested, also in the Kwanzas market.
According to SIC, the group used a reprography located in the Kwanzas market to falsify the tests. Individuals who wanted to travel outside the capital sought out this group to falsify their results, the authorities indicate.
Each client paid 25,000 kwanzas for the proof, 15,000 kwanzas for the test and 10,000 for the vehicle's circulation credential.
