According to the interim spokesman for the provincial delegation of the Ministry of the Interior, Luís Bernardino, the operation led by members of the Border Guard Police took place at dawn on Monday, in the main channel of the Zaire River.
Luís Bernardino, quoted by the Angop agency, stressed that considerable quantities of fish of different species were found on the vessels.
Regarding the arrested fishermen, they were repatriated to DRCongo, which shares a vast river border with Angola.
