Nova Vida's cab stop becomes an urban art mural

Nova Vida's cab stop has gained a new face. The stop, which was inaugurated this Friday, is no longer a mere stop but a mural of urban art.

The stop was revitalized as part of the "Block, Brush and Paint" campaign, promoted by the Kilamba Kiaxi Administration, and the "Luandina Mora no Meu Bairro" project. In the restructuring of the stop, the land gave way to gravel, benches were placed for passengers to sit on and the wall was cleaned and painted by various artists of urban art.

The modification was possible thanks to the partnership between the Kilamba Kiaxi administration and Luandina: "This partnership between the Kilamba Kiaxi Municipal Administration and Luandina emerged as part of the administration's community campaign 'Bloco, Pincel e Tinta' and the project 'Luandina Mora no Meu Bairro', which aim at a series of actions to revitalize public spaces with messages of belonging and union, in order to stimulate the preservation of these areas, which receive hundreds of people a day, and who needed a new color, a new life", can be read in a statement sent to VerAngola.

This mural "counted with the work of street art artists Rómulo de Santa Rita and Mr. Poste, from Kolectivo Bawka, as well as with the strong support of the Sol-Artes painters".

"A mural that brings a "new life" to the New Life, and that carries in its graphics images and messages of love to Kilamba Kiaxi, of union, of feeling of belonging and preservation for what is ours and should be taken care of by us", indicates the note, emphasizing that the paintings pay homage to the national graffiti, which has been growing and recognized.
