"The Returned", the first play you will be able to see live in the comfort of your sofa

Theater fans can already jump for joy. The Horizonte Njinga Mbande theater group will perform a play on August 30th. However, the format will be quite different from usual: the audience will be able to see the play from the comfort of their couch, since the theater will be broadcast live on social networks.

After five months of being paralyzed by the covid-19 pandemic, the group said they felt the need to innovate and bring back the theater.

The group joined Waridu to bring the play "The Returned" to the theater lovers. As the name implies, Adelino Caracol, director of the play, explained that the play talks about the return of the theater to the stages.

"There are still fears and a whole preparation for its return. We are talking about biosecurity, it takes a lot of investment to be able to reopen," he said, in statements to the Platinaline.

Adelino Caracol applauded the partnership with Waridu - a company responsible for organizing several lives during the period of social isolation - and considered that this return to the stages will be quite positive: "It was five months of theatrical inactivity, I believe it will make us feel alive anyway," he said.

"My partners and I have been analyzing that culture is not just music, which is why we feel we should give the theater a chance, we still have projects for painting and others. Our goal is to bring the public closer to art, no matter what it is," said Agnelo Henriques, event producer to the Platinaline.

The play will be transmitted next Sunday, starting at 7:45 p.m. and will feature the performances of David Enoque, José Galiano, Catatrina André, among others. For those interested, the play will be broadcast on Platinaline's social networks and Waridu's Youtube.
