The training action, divided into three sessions, one per week, with the use of videoconferencing, aims to train the heads and technicians of the different Executive bodies that contribute to the protection, elaboration and management of Cultural Heritage, especially from provinces with sites inscribed on the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization - UNESCO World Heritage list - UNESCO.
The event was chaired by the Secretary of State for Culture, Maria da Piedade de Jesus and was attended by the Secretaries of State for Tourism, Hélder Marcelino and for the Environment, Paula Francisco.
According to a statement sent to VerAngola, the Secretary of State for Culture addressed, in the introductory topic, the Process of Inscription of Goods to World Heritage, having emphasized the fact that the Convention was adopted in 1972 and Angola ratified the Convention in 1992. In this historical course, he stressed that the first inscriptions take place in 1978 and Angola inscribed the first asset on the list of world heritage sites in 2017, namely the Historic Center of Mbanza Kongo.
