In a statement sent to VerAngola, TAAG informs that operations on this new route will begin on September 1st.
"The new Luanda – Nairobi route, whose commercial passenger operations will begin on September 1st, 2025, with a service with three weekly frequencies that will provide greater connectivity between Southern Africa and East Africa", the note reads.
"Nairobi is widely recognized as an important regional hub and reference point for traffic between the different regions of Africa, Asia and Europe, with Kenya being one of the most dynamic economies on the African continent", adds the company.
Therefore, the connection between Angola and East Africa, via Nairobi, "marks a significant advance in the expansion of TAAG's international network, adding competitive advantages in terms of mobility options for passengers, promotion of bilateral business, diplomatic relations, among other benefits".
TAAG also informs that tickets for this route are now available.
"Tickets are now available for purchase through TAAG's various sales channels (...)", the note reads.
With this new connection, TAAG will now fly to more than ten domestic destinations and 15 international destinations, including cities such as Lisbon, Paris, Dubai, São Paulo, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Lagos, Kinshasa, Maputo and Windhoek.
