The inauguration of the factory, an initiative of Fazenda Vinevala, took place after the minister opened Expo-Bié 2025. According to a statement from the Bié government, which VerAngola had access to, after officially opening the expo, Lima Massano traveled to the municipality of Chinguar to inaugurate the factory.

On that occasion, the minister "praised the initiative of businessman Alfeu Vinevala and encouraged him to continue with actions aimed at contributing to the diversification of the national economy."

Already quoted in a statement from the Agrarian Development Support Fund (FADA), which VerAngola had access to, the Minister of State highlighted that the factory is "a practical example of the philosophy of the 'Transforma Aqui' program, operated by FADA, which aims to encourage agri-food transformation in the areas where it is produced."

"It's a bit of what we're seeing here," he emphasized.

"In some areas, product packaging and rice husking are still done manually," which is why the government, through FADA, has been investing "in programs such as the Light Mechanization of Family Farming, financing tractors, tillers, and other equipment, with the aim of modernizing and revitalizing the agricultural sector," the minister added.

Regarding the 'Transforma Aqui' program, Lima Massano stated that "the country has the opportunity to transform itself through its children," emphasizing that initiatives like this "were created precisely for this purpose," as witnessed this Wednesday in Bié.

According to the FADA statement, the aforementioned factory will produce "biscuits (sweet and salted), as well as pasta, contributing to the strengthening of the agro-industrial chain in the region."

In turn, the governor of Bié, Celeste Adolfo, considered the factory an asset to the province.

"Governor Celeste Adolfo considered this achievement another gain for the province of Bié and for the population in particular, who will benefit from locally produced products, as well as the creation of more jobs among the youth," reads the Bié government's statement.

Alfeu Vinevala, the factory's owner, quoted by Angop, said that the unit will produce spaghetti and macaroni pasta, as well as sweet and savory cookies, a cost of approximately three million dollars.

The new factory will join other lines that have been operating experimentally since last year, such as wheat and corn flour.

According to Angop, the factory is capable of producing 35 tons of pasta and 15 tons of cookies per day, while the wheat flour production unit produces 60 tons per day.

In terms of employment, the factory initially created 62 direct jobs.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the President of the Board of Directors of FADA, Felisbela Francisco, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, the Secretary of the President of the Republic for the Productive Sector, the provincial governor of Bié, among others.
