More than just cookies, 'Petrolinho' consists of a childlike figure that is the face of the new line of food products.

The tricolor club, in a statement that VerAngola had access to, announced the partnership with Fozkudia, which made the creation of the club's cookies possible.

"Petro de Luanda and Fozkudia have joined forces in a 100 percent national partnership that tastes of pride and smells of victory! Today [Wednesday] we officially launched the most Tricolor cookie in the country, made in Angola, with the spirit of our Petro," the statement reads.

In statements at the project's presentation, quoted by Angop, Dilson Santos emphasized its innovative and educational nature, emphasizing that 'Petrolinho' goes beyond a simple character.

According to the club's board member, it is a "communication and engagement platform" for children.

"It's a communication and engagement platform for children and young fans of the Tricolor team. It's the embodiment of the pride, passion, and values that define our Tricolor nation," he said, adding that the initiative also marks the launch of the first private-label food product line from a national club.

According to the manager, the cookies will be available in supermarkets and informal markets nationwide: "The initial line consists of cookies with the 'Petrolinho' image and will be distributed in supermarkets and informal markets throughout the country."

According to Tomás Faria, president of the tricolors, the goal is to diversify revenue sources by enhancing the brand, aiming to reduce total dependence on profits from matches.

Thus, the idea, he said, involves investing in indirect revenue: "We intend to invest in indirect revenue, with a view to exploring the potential of our brands."

Fozkudia will ensure the production and sale of the products, while the club will be responsible for managing the brand, he added, adding that the official launch on shelves will be announced soon, according to Angop.

"The new line of biscuits represents just the beginning of a long-term plan. We will continue working together to develop new products related to the 'Petrolinho' universe," he said.

Leonora Martins, Fozkudia's spokesperson, stated that the collaboration with the tricolor club represents a milestone for the national food sector.

Regarding the possibility of expanding the line with new products, the official, quoted by Angop, said that the company is still in the early stages of the project, but believes it has great potential for growth.
