"The protocols, now signed, will support the Foundation in the project to preserve the Giant Sable Antelope and protect sea turtles along the Angolan coastline", Bodiva reported in a statement sent to VerAngola.
"The signing of these agreements represents Bodiva's ongoing commitment to initiatives that promote environmental sustainability and contribute to a more balanced future for current and future generations", said Cristina Lourenço, president of Bodiva's Executive Committee, who was present at the signing ceremony.
Quoted in the note, the official said she believes "that this will be a long-lasting partnership that will bring great results for both institutions, as these are initiatives that are in line with Bodiva's social responsibility strategy and demonstrate our commitment to preserving biodiversity".
Vladimir Russo, director of the Kissama Foundation, who was also present at the ceremony, considered that the agreement recognises that the work they have been doing "is positive": "This agreement is the recognition that the work we have been doing is positive, and Bodiva has now become an important partner in carrying it out, enabling better protection of biodiversity".
According to the statement, this initiative is part of Bodiva's social responsibility programme.
