The provincial governor, in a summary of the head of state's two-day working day in Bié, said that this information is a "gift" for sports lovers, especially for the club that has existed for more than 100 years.
According to Pereira Alfredo, the aforementioned stadium "is the only pitch" in the province, being the 'home' of all games, therefore there is an urgent need to rehabilitate it.
"The Eucaliptos stadium is the only pitch in the province that hosts all football matches, whether provincial or national, hence the urgency of its rehabilitation", he pointed out, quoted by Angop, and also added that the pavilion has been the stage for several competitions provincial and national in different modalities.
The governor also informed that the provincial government will begin preparing the dossier this month, however, he did not provide a deadline for the start of the works.
Paulo Jorge Capama, president of Sporting do Bié, stated that the infrastructure needs complete rehabilitation, adding that it is planned to build a roof and increase the width of the two stands, writes Angop.
Adolfo Ukussapi, general secretary of Sporting do Bié, believes that with improvements to sports facilities the emblem will once again be able to fulfill the objective of the massification project.
The announcement was also welcomed by athletes. This is the case, for example, of Vado Cumba, a football player, who mentioned that the infrastructure in question has been in need of improvements for a long time to continue meeting the needs of the sport in a dignified manner, writes Angop.
