Sagrada Esperança faces St Louis of the Seychelles in the preliminaries of the African Champions League

Sagrada Esperança already knows its opponent in the preliminary phase of access to the group stage of the African Champions League in football. The draw, which took place this Thursday, in Egypt, dictated that the Angolan team will face St Louis from the Seychelles Islands on the field.

According to a note from CAF, to which VerAngola had access, the first leg will be played in the Seychelles Islands between the 16th and 18th of August.

Regarding the other national teams, the draw determined that Bravos do Maquis will face Coastal Union (Tanzania).

Desportivo da Lunda Sul will play with Elgeco Plus (Madagáscar).

As for Petro de Luanda, it is exempt from this first round, informs CAF.

"Al Ahly, Espérance, Sundowns, Petro de Luanda and TP Mazembe are exempt from the first round", the note reads.

It should be noted that the preliminary stages of the competition will be divided into two rounds, with the first leg of the first round taking place from the 16th to the 18th of August and the second leg taking place between the 23rd and 25th of August. The first leg of the second preliminary round will be played from September 13th to 15th and the second leg will be played from September 20th to 22nd.
