"Share the good news about the launch of the National Employment Fund, which already has a date, time and location. On August 6th, we will have the opportunity to officially launch the operations of the National Employment Fund", he said.
According to the Secretary of State, the expectation is that this instrument will "boost the process of professional training, entrepreneurship and employment promotion".
"The legal and material conditions have been created, the latest legal instruments were published in the Official Gazette on the 10th of June, the contract between the managing entity and the Government of Angola has already been signed and our expectation is that on the 6th of August (...) we will have the opportunity to launch and present all the initiatives that will be financed by the National Employment Fund", he added, during his speech at the ninth edition of the MAPTSS Briefing.
According to Pedro Filipe, the State wants to "concentrate financial resources on the various employability initiatives spread across the country, allowing them to be better structured and implemented, avoiding the repetition of projects by the same state or private bodies and in the same locations".
He further added that most of the initiatives to be financed by the fund will be aimed at youth.
"The diploma will be implemented quickly to meet the needs of young people, who constitute the largest group of unemployed people in society", he said, and, quoted by Angop, highlighted that the granting of financial resources will be rigorous, as the projects will be evaluated by a team of experts before allocating the funds.
It is worth remembering that the National Employment Fund was approved last year by the Economic Commission of the Council of Ministers. The fund aims to ensure the necessary financial resources to promote public and private initiatives that facilitate the entry of recent graduates and unemployed people into the job market, as well as granting non-refundable incentives to young people in professional training courses or actions.
In addition, the fund will also finance projects by entities in the National Professional Training System and Professional Technical Education, as well as promoting reimbursable financing for micro and small companies, among others.
