ENSA relaunches agricultural insurance seven years after the first policy

After launching the first agricultural insurance in 2017, ENSA was forced to discontinue this product, as the market stopped registering subscriptions for this type of insurance. However, the insurer has now had the opportunity to relaunch a new line of Agricultural Insurance, designed for new agricultural projects in Angola, in line with the diversification of the economy and the increase in national production.

The new ENSA Agricultural Insurance provides farmers with greater protection against adverse weather events resulting from drought, excessive rainfall, floods and storms, as well as against damage caused by animals, river overflows, hail, frost, fires and lightning, the insurer said in a statement sent to VerAngola.

In addition to these advantages, it also provides compensation for production losses and support for the acquisition of goods after losses. "All of this translates into greater peace of mind for farmers regarding the risks to their crops, thus allowing them to focus more on production," they said.

The first policy in the new ENSA Agricultural Insurance line was taken out this month, covering crops on the Indu-Agri farm, located in the province of Benguela, which resulted in ENSA resuming its provision of this type of insurance on the market.

The insurance is available throughout the ENSA sales network in all 18 provinces of Angola.

"ENSA remains committed to providing excellent services, as well as contributing effectively to the country's progress and improving the living conditions of families, companies and the population in general", reaffirms the insurer.
