Regarding qualification, according to Angop, the first of each group automatically qualifies for the championship, after the teams face each other two-legged. Meanwhile, the four best runners-up will have to play a play-off with the aim of joining the range of 10 teams from the African continent that will go to the World Cup, writes Angop.
It should be noted that the competition is scheduled for between June 8 and July 19, 2026, in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico.
