João Lourenço travels to Botswana for a two-day state visit

The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, travels this Thursday to Gabarone, Botswana, where he will carry out a two-day state visit. The program includes a meeting with the president of Botswana, Mokgweetsi Masisi, as well as a state dinner.

According to Luís Fernando, secretary for Institutional Communication and Press Affairs of the President of the Republic, João Lourenço will this Thursday "meeting with his counterpart, President Mokgweetsi Masisi, who will welcome him at the airport to greet him welcome on arrival".

Friday will be marked by a conversation "between the two heads of state at the Presidential Palace of Gabarone, followed by official talks between the ministerial delegations that will accompany the two presidents", advanced the official.

Also on Friday night, there will be a State dinner, where a tribute to João Lourenço will be paid. "In the evening, President João Lourenço will be honored with a State dinner, an event that will mark the end of the official program established for this visit", he said.

The return of the President of the Republic to the country takes place on Saturday.
