KixiCrédito opens branch in Zaire and is ready to support 300 projects in Mbanza Congo

KixiCrédito is ready to support around 300 projects in Mbanza Congo, where it inaugurated, this Friday, an agency.

In a statement sent to VerAngola, the microcredit society said that the inauguration took place on Friday morning. "KixiCrédito, a microcredit company licensed by the BNA in 2008, inaugurated today [Friday], 21 July, at 10:00 am, its first branch in the province of Zaire, municipality of Mbanza Congo", reads the note.

According to the statement, the initiative is part of the National Expansion Plan "projected by this society", aiming "to take its microcredit products to the whole territory".

According to the chairman of the Board of Directors (PCA) of KixiCrédito, "microcredit is a fundamental instrument for boosting the economy, and with the opening of this, which is the second agency in the province of Zaire, the institution intends to increase the number of microcredit concessions, especially to micro, small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, with a view to boosting their commercial activities".

According to the statement, the microcredit society is one of the partners in the Informal Economy Reconversion Program (PREI), which aims to "reconvert the informal economy and provide access to microcredit, with the management of a financing line valued at 3 billion dollars intended for these entrepreneurs".

"At the level of the municipality of Mbanza Congo, around 60 projects have already been financed for a total value of 50 million kwanzas, where by the end of the year, they expect to reach a target of more than 300 initiatives", the note also reads.

The statement also notes that KixiCrédito is "the first recognized microcredit company in the country" and has "as its main mission the granting of microcredit to micro, small and medium-sized entrepreneurs", aiming at boosting "their businesses and, consequently, improving the socioeconomic environment".
