The central bank's press release states that the acquisition of shares did not comply with the prior authorization of the National Bank of Angola, "under the terms of the law and current regulations, as well as the special registration of new members of the governing bodies, including the fact that it has been inactive for more than 12 months".
"In effect, pursuant to paragraph 3 of article 320 of the Law on the General Regime of Financial Institutions, Koféleféle – Sociedade de Microcrédito, Lda. is considered dissolved and must be liquidated in accordance with the judicial procedures generally applicable to commercial companies, pursuant to article 146 and following of Law no. 1/04, of 13 February – Law on Commercial Companies", reads the statement.
