Standard Bank of Angola and Jetour sign partnership agreement to offer new products

On June 5, Standard Bank of Angola (SBA) and Jetour Angola formalized a partnership agreement that aims to meet the needs of customers by providing them with new products and services. Under the cooperation agreement, SBA customers who purchase a Jetour vehicle by the end of June will benefit from a discount of up to six percent, and from next month, the discount will increase to four percent.

"One of Standard Bank's pillars is its focus on the customer. This focus on the customer basically consists of identifying their needs and, based on this, finding solutions that seek to meet these needs. It was within the scope of this purpose that we identified that, within Standard Bank's customer base, there is a very high demand for the Jetour brand", began the explanation given by the executive director of SBA's Small and Medium-sized Business Banking.

Fernando Chivinda also highlighted the leasing product made available by Standard Bank to individual and corporate customers, through which the bank provides financing for a movable asset, at a competitive price and with a term adapted to the customer's financial availability, with the option to purchase at the end of the contract.

For Alex Lim, director of Jetour Angola's Legal Department, the signing of the protocol with SBA represents "an important milestone", which will "enrich the Angolan consumer market, offering yet another valuable and flexible option for the acquisition of new vehicles". "This partnership is not just about numbers; it is about creating value for people and the country, with the aim of boosting the local economy, creating more jobs and contributing to a more promising future for Angola," he stressed.

With official representation in Angola since 2019, the Jetour brand "has been consolidating itself as a reference in the Angolan market, offering high-quality vehicles, bold design and cutting-edge technology," added Alex Lim, adding that the brand records an average monthly sales of over 150 units in Angola, which translates into around two thousand vehicles per year.

Present at the event representing Standard Bank Group, Andrew Mashanda, director for Africa of Small and Medium Enterprises and Offshore, expressed the hope that the partnership would "allow the brand to increase its sales in the Angolan market".

"We also hope that through our network across the African continent, we can continue to establish partnerships in other markets and also increase the number of vehicles that are being sold. We are deeply grateful for this partnership that will contribute to the development of our continent," said Andrew Mashanda, highlighting Standard Bank Group's motto: "Africa is our home and we drive its growth."
