According to a statement from the Ministry of Education, to which VerAngola had access, the virtual school 'Xilonga' was launched by the Minister of Education, Luísa Grilo, on Friday.
According to the Ministry, this platform was "developed by Angolan technicians from the Instituto de Telecomunicações (ITEL)", being "open to all students of Primary Education and the l Cycle of Secondary Education".
The virtual school comprises several learning materials: video lessons, radio lessons, manuals and educational games.
According to the statement, for the minister, this tool "does not replace the teacher in the classroom, but rather complements the teaching and learning process."
Students can access this platform through the website www.xilonga.med.gov.
