Expo Uíge starts with more than 200 exhibitors

The 11th edition of the Agricultural and Livestock and Industrial Fair of Uíge (Expo Uíge) started this Wednesday, July 6, with 220 exhibitors from the provinces of Uíge, Luanda, Malanje, Cabinda, Kwanza Norte and Benguela.

In the event, which will run until Sunday (July 10), participants will expose their potential.

The official opening of the fair took place this Wednesday, July 6, at Praça da Independência do Uíge, in a ceremony led by the deputy governor for the Political, Social and Economic sector, Maria Fernando Cavungo.

On the occasion, the official declared that drawing the attention of investors to help in the sale of agricultural goods to the major means of consumption is one of the purposes of the fair, having added that this bet will make it possible to promote agricultural activity, by means of an increase in income. farmers and job creation, writes Angop.

Cited by Angop, the official also mentioned that the event also aims to publicize national products, with a view to increasing local production.

Carlos Calas, from the company responsible for organizing the event, also quoted by Angop, informed that the event will provide more than a hundred jobs.
