Media9Par of the angolan businessman N’Gunu Tiny buys Jornal Económico

Media9Par, a subsidiary of the Emerald Group for the media area of the angolan businessman N’Gunu Tiny, bought Jornal Económico, from Megafin, the weekly reported.

"Entering the Media9Par group's universe represents a turning point for Jornal Económico. From now on, taking advantage of the synergies with the other media of the Media9Par group, Jornal Económico will position itself as an information brand aimed at the entire Portuguese-speaking space, with an offer of increasingly multiplatform content, that is, on paper, online, video and podcasts", wrote the publication's director, Filipe Alves, in the editorial of this Friday's edition of Jornal Economic.

In June, the director and also a shareholder of Megafin, reported that the Emerald Group, founded in 2009, holder of the publishing rights for the magazines Forbes Portugal and Forbes África Lusófona, had debuted in the 'media' area in 2018, with investment in a minority stake (40 percent) in Polígrafo".

"Headquartered at Dubai International Financial Center (...) is an investment holding company exclusively owned by N'Gunu Tiny, focusing on the financial sector, energy, impact investing and social innovation," he added.
