TAAG will receive 1334 million kwanzas to transport Angolan scholarship holders

Angolan airline TAAG will receive 1334 million kwanzas for the transport service of Angolan scholarship holders studying in Brazil, Cuba and Russia, according to a presidential dispatch consulted by Lusa.

:

The order, signed by João Lourenço, authorizes the expense and formalizes the simplified contracting procedure, in the amount of 1334 million kwanzas, justifying the use of this faster mode due to the urgency of transport and given that TAAG is the only company to carry out direct flights, with destination or origin in the cities of São Paulo (Brazil), Havana (Cuba) and Moscow (Russia), from Angola.

The contract aims to acquire air transport from TAAG for scholarship students from the National Institute of Scholarship Management (INAGBE) undergoing training abroad, as well as the provision of other specialized services.

The diploma also refers to the fact that it is also the only airline with availability to carry out 'charter' flights for the repatriation of scholarship students in the context of a pandemic and to provide reservation, issuance, booking, rebooking and cancellation services for airline tickets, including aircraft leasing.

The procedures and availability of financial resources will be ensured by the Ministers of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation and Finance.
